How Tea & Tequila Is Responding To The COVID-19 Pandemic
The pandemic has affected everyone, and every business, from the office to the very beginning of the supply chain. It’s been heartbreaking to hear of suppliers and manufacturers being mistreated by brands at this time.
We are grateful that we have been able to continue with production having ensured all of our team's safety. Tea & Tequila work with indigenous communities across Mexico who work from the safety of their homes in rural villages. They manage their own working hours while spending time with their loved ones.
Since there is little support available during this time we have made the decision to continue with production in a safe way to ensure our teams remain financially independent. We have provided face masks made from off-cuts from our clothing production. And continued to pay their full wages as well as sending cash donations for extra support.
One of our weavers, Tere Gomez (21 years old) sent us a sweet message:
We hope we can all spread positivity with the little actions we take every day.
